FIFTH P SOLUTIONS WINS DELL CANADA’S 2008 SMALL BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARD

Winning Firm Leverages Technology to Develop Award-Winning e-Learning and Measurement Solutions

TORONTO, Aug. 6, 2008 — Dell Canada today announced the winner of its 2008 Small Business Excellence Award is Mississauga, Ontario-based Fifth P Solutions, an agency that builds successful brands through people. The award recognizes the Fifth P’s innovative use of technology to develop e-learning and performance support solutions that enable its clients to deliver a superior experience at every touch point with its customers.

Fifth P Solutions will receive $25,000 in Dell products and consulting services as well as a Day at Dell, meeting with company executives including Chairman and CEO Michael Dell, subject to their availability. As the Canadian national winner of Dell Canada’s Small Business Excellence Award, Fifth P will also compete for the newly created Dell Global Small Business Excellence Award. The Global Award includes $50,000 in Dell products & services, a lifetime membership to the International Council of Small Business, networking opportunities with high-impact entrepreneurs and other business leaders, and an invitation to an entrepreneurs’summit.

“Forward-thinking companies have embraced the fact that their people (the fifth “P” of marketing) have become an inseparable part of their marketing efforts and are immeasurably important to winning and retaining the loyalty of their customers,” said Michael Mattalo, president of Fifth P Solutions. “We’ve used technology to build the infrastructure and capabilities to develop and manage solutions for some of the most recognized brands across North America. We are grateful to Dell Canada for recognizing our business model and strategic use of technology, and for placing us on the global map with its prestigious Small Business Excellence Award.”

Fifth P Solutions team members combine thought leadership in customer experience, proven instructional and user experience methodologies, and a robust suite of technology tools to meet the needs of major organizations across a range of industries. A sound IT infrastructure helps this agency deliver “large firm capabilities” by improving efficiencies, streamlining decision making, delivering “on-demand” e-learning solutions and delivering their own superior customer experience at every level.

“Fifth P Solutions’ resourceful use of technology has enabled it to deliver a superior experience to its customers and significantly grow its own business,” said Kevin Peesker, vice president and general manager, Small and Medium Business, Dell Canada. “Small enterprises are one of the core pillars of the Canadian economy and we congratulate Fifth P Solutions.

“It’s always inspiring to hear about companies defying the odds and succeeding, despite a turbulent economy,” said John Warrillow, founder of the Warrilow Subscriber network (an advisory service for enterprise companies targeting the small and medium business segment) and author of Drilling for Gold: How Corporations Can Successfully market to Small Businesses. Fifth P Solutions is the ‘best of the best’ and applies technology in a way that gets the attention of blue chip brand clients.” Warrillow, Annette St-Onge, president-elect, International Council for Small Business, and Andre Valiquette, senior manager, SMB Marketing for Dell Canada, comprised the judging panel for the award.

The remaining nine finalists of Dell Canada’s 2008 Small Business Excellence Award will each receive a Dell business-class laptop up to $1,500 in value. The Small Business Excellence Award is currently in its fourth year in Canada. Previous winners were:
